Greetings to all the Intex Purespa lovers out there! Unfortunately, the love is short lived due to the poor selection in material used for the impeller shaft. It is a ceramic based material. The Shafts I sold and now sold out were made of a hardened brass and I am in my second season with no issues. The shaft is a bit louder than the original but performs and will continue to. I have exhausted the 200 shafts I had my local machine shop make and will not be replensishing it due to profitability and time consumption. I recently discovered you can order a brand new and recently improved pump from intex's parts store. Not sure what the improvement is but I would suffice the shaft as this is the only failing point. The intex part number is 11885G (49.00 plus shipping)  https://www.intexcorp.com/11885g.html

The original pump 11885 is also still being sold so be sure not to order that one!

Now, if you like, you can remove the broken shaft inside the pump yourself, glue the shaft back together, measure and or find your local machine shop or craft one your self using a non magnetic material such as brass( not a soft brass), make sure you retain the small washers when doing the repair and place them back when re assembling.
Here is a really good youtube video of a repair https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXVnj3Ez59E The guy even gives you the dimensions and a lead to find brass shafts at Home Depot.

Good Luck!!!
